Even though avocados contain 70% of its calories in fat they arenâ€™t fattening. I eat an avocado a day and Iâ€™m telling you that itâ€™s a complete misconception that fat will make you fat. I know itâ€™s confusing because the word â€˜fatâ€™ has such a negative connotation. Â But really itâ€™s the sugar and processed carbohydrates that make you put on weight. You actually need fat to help your body function properly. If I was you, I would add avocados to your diet and if you want to cut down on anything, cut down on the bread, chips and sugar.
