The best place for a home office is at the front of your house so that you can feel that you are a part of the outside world. The only exception to this rule is if you are a writer or an artist and need peace and quiet-in that case the back of your house is also a good choice. You certainly do not want the home office to be in the center of your house, as it has the potential to dominate and make your work life seem more important than your home life.
